Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring Entry-Level Welders in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This is a direct hire, first-shift opportunity with competitive pay and long-term growth potential. Your Impact
The Welder will set up, tack, and perform all types of welding on all gauges of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. You'll use special or general-purpose fixtures-or improvise as required-to produce high-quality work that supports large-scale fabrication and assembly operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cut, fit, heat, and bend materials to specification
  • Perform weld repairs, salvage, and rebuild parts as directed
  • Work in various welding positions as required
  • Handle parts of varying sizes (crane assistance provided)
  • Clean welds to meet quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members during assembly of large components
  • Utilize complex blueprints, advanced shop mathematics, and handbook formulas

Shift
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Hours may vary when overtime is available

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-year welding certificate

Pay
  • Starting pay: $24.21/hour
  • Once certified: $30.08/hour
