Job Description:

Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)

Essential Responsibilities

• Inspect and test assembled parts on an inspection line or at individual workstations under the direction of the Quality Supervisor.

• Perform tasks that are more varied and complex than entry-level assembly, requiring broader product knowledge.

• Conduct testing of products at sub-assembly or final assembly stages.

• Perform repair or rework on assembled units or sub-assemblies as needed.

• Maintain responsibility for quality, workmanship, and adherence to company production standards.

• Perform simple equipment or process set-ups.

• Recognize, document, and report problems, discrepancies, or failures in materials, tooling, machinery, and processes.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis on product defects and communicate findings clearly and concisely.

• Demonstrate the ability to perform all duties of an entry-level inspector.

• Apply the Four-Level Defect Grading System; proactively identify, report, and help resolve quality defects.

• Work in compliance with all safety standards and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 1–2 years of experience of assembly or testing inline manufacturing assemblies preferred.

• Ability to perform inspection using calipers, micrometers, and related measuring tools.

• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and follow written instructions in English

• Capable of performing basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), using measurements (weight, volume, distance), and reading simple sketches and shop drawings.

• Ability to operate required equipment or tools.
