Job description

Job Title: QA Systems Associate
Location: Carpinteria, CA 93013
Pay Rate: $25/hr
Duration: 5 Months (possible extension/conversion!)

Schedule: Monday - Friday with a 7:00 - 8:00 AM start and a 3:30 - 4:30 PM end time. No weekends.
*This is an entry-level opportunity and a great way for someone to gain experience in Product Stewardship.
* Looking for someone who is detail-oriented, process-focused, and eager to learn.
* Candidate must be able to follow work instructions accurately, execute tasks independently, and ask questions when something is unclear.
* SAP experience is a plus but not required.
* Experience working in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, medical device, etc.) would be beneficial but is not required.
* Recent college graduates with an interest in Quality, Regulatory, Product Stewardship, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
* Strong computer skills are required.
The Quality Systems Associate reports to the Quality Systems Supervisor and is responsible for support functions related to the quality systems & quality engineering team, clerical and administrative support, data entry and other supporting functions to ensure maintenance of policies and procedures according to applicable regulatory requirements. The appropriate candidate must be highly adaptable, detail-oriented, work as a team-player under general supervision, and must be punctual in attendance.

  • Supports department customer relationship management activities.
  • Monitor and organize inquiries directed to the organizations quality assurance email inbox. This includes screening content of emails, assigning request numbers to each request that is received and assigning requests to quality specialists.
  • Maintaining excellent customer service via phone calls with other departments and emails with clients.
  • Directly communicating with clients via email regarding the status of their request and ensuring all requests are completed in a timely manner by maintaining clear communication with quality specialists.
  • Filing, scanning and storage of quality records.
  • Must be able to lift/carry boxes up to 20 lbs. and perform general filing duties.
  • The employee must be able to work in non-climate controlled areas.
  • The employee is regularly required to maintain a pleasant and professional manner with coworkers and concentrate on work while surrounded by distractions. The noise level is usually moderate.
