Job Description

The Product Specialist – Commercial Construction is an entry-level role ideal for a recent graduate interested in technical products, construction, and sales. This position provides hands-on training and mentorship to develop expertise in Sika's commercial construction product portfolio while supporting product management, sales, and marketing initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop product knowledge across commercial construction solutions, including concrete repair, waterproofing, infrastructure, and sealant systems.
  • Provide basic technical support to internal teams and customers, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Assist with product literature, specifications, training materials, and application guides.
  • Support sales teams with presentations, competitive analyses, customer meetings, and sample coordination.
  • Maintain project and opportunity information within Salesforce CRM.
  • Research market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to support product strategy.
  • Assist with new product launches, field evaluations, and performance reporting.
  • Participate in customer visits, jobsite evaluations, contractor trainings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Represent Sika professionally with contractors, distributors, and other industry partners while gaining field experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Chemistry, Business, or a related field 
  • Strong curiosity about construction materials, building systems, or specialty chemicals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25–30% regionally
  • Internship or co-op experience in construction, building materials, engineering, or a related field a plus
  • Exposure to construction jobsites, materials science, or building product sales through coursework or work experience, helpful
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce) or project management platforms, helpful
