Position Overview

The Project Engineer is an entry-level position perfect for a motivated individual ready to kickstart their career in the construction industry. This role is integral to our operations team, providing support across various stages of the project lifecycle. The position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment with numerous learning and growth opportunities and demands a proactive individual who is eager to learn and grow and is driven to exceed expectations while fostering teamwork and professional development.

  • Assist with project safety compliance efforts.
  • Support the understanding and distribution of job cost information and project estimates.
  • Contribute to project sequencing and scheduling efforts.
  • Help track project progress and participate in the analysis of production.
  • Assist in project cost reporting and other administrative duties.
  • Support material/equipment procurement processes.
  • Help manage change order requests and tracking.
  • Coordinate with general contractors/owners under supervision.
  • Assist with reporting requirements, including field time and productivity, materials, safety, and other relevant aspects.
  • Learn and comply with company standards and industry regulations.

What we expectโ€ฆ (Essential Functions)

  • Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or at least four years of relevant construction experience.
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, MS Project, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of construction software, such as Procore, Bluebeam, CMIC, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn, improve, and contribute to a team.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to adapt to different roles and requirements within the project lifecycle.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.

Frequently in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations. Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud. Overtime will be required. Travel will be required.
