Job Summary

This position serves as a Scientist / Engineer at 2 Circle Consulting Inc. The Scientist / Engineer will support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E). Work on-site in Arlington, VA is required.

Essential Job Functions



  • Lead advisor to OUSD R&E leadership on research and development

  • Technical advisor in the following areas:

    • Military systems

    • Cyber

    • Electronic warfare

    • Optics

    • Material Science

    • Electromagnetics

    • Technology transition & fielding

  • Written documentation and briefing of essential job functions



Qualifications



  • Five years' experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) and Master's degree

    • Or ten years' experience in the DoD and Bachelor's degree

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel)

  • Efficient and accurate work output

  • Good documentation, writing, and reporting skills

  • Must be self-starter, able to take initiative, work independently and recognize management issues that need to be elevated

  • Must be able to multi-task and maintain deadline punctuality during pressurized situations
  • TS//SCI Clearance Required
