Complete Description:

Project-Specific Duties:

Production Support and functional liaison for Kindergarten - 3rd Grade Formative Assessment Process (K3 FAP) solution.

Working under the direction of the K-3 Formative Assessment Process (FAP) Project Manager, this position shall be responsible for performing support duties,

which shall include but not be limited to the following deliverables and duties:

1. Manage business analysis work or projects with distinct deliverables to a solution;

2. Identify and document business processes, issues, value levers, metrics, and capabilities;

3. Collect, organize, and analyze data;

4. Complete analysis and documentation of ASIS capabilities;

5. Conduct interviews to gather business requirements;

6. Conduct industry, competitive and State analyses (strategic, financial, operational), business case development, as well as market research for

benchmarking;

7. Support required system GoLive activities, including conversion, support desk, site support, training delivery, logistics management, etc.;

8. Support change management and communications programs and activities;

9. Perform Data Integration, Quality Assurance and product testing duties, defect reporting, and related project administration tasks.

Project Specific Duties:

Functional Integration, Analysis and Support (40%)

Act as a liaison between The Office of Early Learning, DPI Technology Services, and the K3FAP vendor, to gather, clarify, and document business

requirements, and to coordinate and document all discussions related to the requirements management process;

Conduct the necessary analyses to determine and document the required interfaces between K3FAP, PowerSchool, and mClass Reading 3D. Also, work with the

appropriate stakeholders and technology staff to determine the appropriate sources of data and frequency of source system interfaces;

Produce a detailed scope, requirements definition, and functional specification for the selected architecture and optimized data flows between

PowerSchool and mClass Reading 3D;

Serve as the lead for the K-3 FAP integration with the Identify Access Management system;

Lead troubleshooting and internal support activities related to K-3 FAP

o Serve as formal troubleshooting escalation point for NCDPI (tier 2 support); and

o Coordinate issue and risk management activities with the current and future vendors.

Other duties as assigned.

Data Integration (20%)

Coordinate the activities between the vendor, Teaching Strategies, and DPI Technology resources, to define, test, and implement the required data feeds

from the relevant DPI system to K3FAP.

Coordinate the implementation of secure production file delivery to Teaching Strategies.

Coordinate delivery of test files, test results, and user acceptance with Teaching Strategies and DPI for the data interfaces.

Lead the discussions related to the longer term integration strategy of K3FAP with other DPI applications; devise a system architecture that supports

efficient integration with other applications and also presents a logical, user-friendly interface to other DPI users.

Update any relevant system data flow or system architecture documentation throughout the project;

Initiate integration analysis and design to support K-3 assessment project integrations with other applications such as mClass Reading 3D;

Consult with the DPI system architect resource, and document alternatives to optimize all data flows from PowerSchool, and mClass Reading 3D, to the K-3

Assessment product;

Act as liaison with Teaching Strategies to escalate and monitor issues and risks associated;

Other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance (40%)

Produce a Quality Assurance Plan, produce test cases, and manage the user acceptance testing for all K-3 system integration phases;

Required

  • Functional Integration Analysis & Support - Liaison to gather, clarify and document business requirements and coordinate and document discussions.
  • Data Integration Skills - Ability to document required interfaces between various systems and work with stakeholders in technology and business areas
  • Trouble-shooting and production support for data-centric web-based IT solutions
  • Quality Assurance - Experience developing test plans, generating test data, executing plans, reporting on defects and managing User Acceptance Testing
  • Strong Interpersonal Communications Skills - Verbal and Non-Verbal
