Job description

At Jered, a PAR Systems Company and leader in engineered solutions for naval and maritime systems, Production Controllers help keep our manufacturing projects moving smoothly from start to finish. We are looking for an organized and proactive Production Controller I to serve as a central hub for project documentation and material flow administration.
In this role, you'll combine administrative precision with proactive material expediting to help ensure our shop floor has the right parts at the right time to meet critical delivery deadlines. You'll support warehouse audits, work order processing, missing part research, ECO task management, and process improvement efforts while partnering with Manufacturing and Supply Chain leaders.
Success Criteria
As a Production Controller I, you'll spend your time supporting warehouse and production control activities, including cycle counts, preservation audits, VLM tray audits, bay scan audits, and in-process work order scan audits. You'll also assist with work order printing, follow up on revisions and discrepancies with Manufacturing Engineering and Processing, assist with missing part research, and support ECO task management with an immediate response and 24-hour goal.
You'll serve as the lead for administrative audits within Production Control and Warehouse, identify root causes of issues in process flow, and report process issues and process improvement recommendations to leadership. Success means staying organized, demonstrating personal initiative, communicating effectively between Manufacturing and Supply Chain leaders, and managing multiple tasks and demands from various project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Education or certificates in Business Management, Logistics, Operations, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent entry-level work experience
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with a high degree of personal initiative
  • Excellent communication skills to act as a partner between Manufacturing and Supply Chain leaders
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands from various project stakeholders
  • Must be drug-free and able to work in a skilled labor, non-exempt capacity

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a government or military environment
