Job description

Savannah Riverboat Cruises is seeking an experienced Marine Surface Prep amp; Painter to help maintain our fleet of riverboats. This is not an entry-level or residential painting position. We are looking for candidates with experience working on large vessels, yachts, ships, marine structures, or industrial equipment.

This role is primarily focused on surface preparation, corrosion control, and coating maintenance, with painting duties performed as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Surface preparation including pressure washing, scaling, sanding, grinding, and sandblasting
  • Prepare and maintain vessel surfaces for protective coatings
  • Apply marine and industrial coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
  • Operate aerial lifts and work safely around vessels and marine equipment
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of marine, yacht, shipyard, vessel, or industrial coating experience required
  • Experience with surface preparation, corrosion control, and protective coating systems
  • Knowledge of marine or industrial paint specifications and application methods
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, stand for 5+ hours, and lift up to 50lbs daily.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
