Summary:

We will train for this role and this role offers a $2,000 Sign on Bonus upon successful completion of hands on training provided on-site after 90 days and $2000 retention bonus once candidate completes 1 year of service in the new role. The Entry Level Valve Technician will be trained for assembling (disassembly) valve/packing cases and inspecting all items that come into the Valve shop.

Responsibilities during the mentorship:

  • Assemble (disassembly) valves/packing cases correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Test all valves and packing cases according to company procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  •  Participate in company Lean and 5S initiatives

Skills:

  • Ability to learn basic blueprint reading
  • Ability to learn various micrometers: Calipers, OD-ID Micrometers. Depth micrometers.
  • Ability to solve problems based on limited standards.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and Experience:

  • HS diploma or related job experience
  • Manufacturing background..

 Mental/Visual/Physical Effort:

  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feet
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

 MATERIAL HAZARDS:

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
