Position Title: Electrical Technician 1
Location: St. Charles, MO
Position Summary:
An Electrical Technician 1 will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in custom trailers, displays and vehicles. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start or advance their career in electrical work within the manufacturing industry. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the electrical field with experience in 120/240 single phase, 208 3 phase and 440 3 phases.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards, company safety policies, and proper use of PPE, while proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Assist in the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in custom trailers, displays and vehicles.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs under the supervision of experienced technicians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance electrical skills and knowledge.
  • Document work performed and parts used for accurate record-keeping.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the electrical field or equivalent education.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles, concepts and NEC code book.
  • Basic knowledge of wiring methods and proper wire sizing.
  • Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Must possess or willing to learn the following skill sets:

  • Enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
  • 1 year of experience in the electrical field with experience in 120/240 single phase, 208 3 phase and 440 3 phases.
  • Electrical experience in a manufacturing setting and commercial environment.
  • Experience with Audio Visual wiring.
  • Knowledge of generator power.
  • Experience with conduit installation.
  • Experience with PLC installation.

Physical Requirements:
  • Physically able to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
  • Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
  • Some travel may be required for on-site assistance/repair.
