Job description

Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Machine Set-Up Operator Trainee - 3rd Shift (ICOP Set-Up Operator Trainee) at our Farmington Hills, Michigan manufacturing facility. In this entry-level role, you will operate assigned mechanical equipment, inspect and measure parts, complete SPC checks, and support safe, quality-focused production. You will work under direct supervision while building practical knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Location: Farmington Hills, MI

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM

  • Pay: $19.00/hour

  • Other Compensation: $1.25/hour 3rd-shift premium

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

  • Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required.

What You'll Do as an ICOP Set-Up Operator Trainee
  • Operate assigned mechanical equipment in accordance with work instructions and established procedures.

  • Gauge, visually inspect, and measure parts and perform SPC checks to verify quality requirements.

  • Monitor production output and ensure items produced meet established quality control requirements.

  • Follow established procedures for inspections, quality issues, and machine downtime, escalating more complex issues to higher-level staff.

  • Complete required production and quality documentation fully and accurately.

  • Maintain an organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

  • 0-2 years of experience.

  • Ability to interpret work instructions.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.

  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
