Job description

Job Summary:
Cognizant is seeking an experienced PEP+ Application Developer with strong mainframe development expertise to support and enhance Fiserv payment processing systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining PEP+ payment applications while working in high-volume transaction environments.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, enhance, and support Fiserv PEP+ payment applications
• Perform hands-on development and maintenance of mainframe-based systems
• Work on high volume, real-time transaction processing applications
• Develop and modify programs using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
• Integrate mainframe applications with distributed systems and microservices
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong experience with Fiserv PEP+ applications
• Hands-on mainframe development experience
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
• Good understanding of payment processing systems
• Experience working in high availability, high throughput environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
