Magnetic Particle Inspector
Location: Fairfield, OH
Compensation: $28-$35/hr
Responsibilities:
  • Perform MPI inspections using bench, coil, central-conductor, and yoke methods.
  • Conduct MPI inspection sequence on all barrels and bolts.
  • Perform daily system checks and maintain inspection equipment.
  • Interpret and document indications per ASTM, ASME, MIL, and customer standards.
  • Demagnetize parts and verify residual fields before release.
  • Maintain inspection records, defect maps, and traceability.
  • Support calibration, maintenance, and coordination with Production, QA, and Engineering.
  • Follow safety, PPE, and chemical handling protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Level II MPI Certification
  • Previous experience with NDT is required
  • Previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry is required
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Hands-on experience with MPI benches, yokes, gauges, and meters.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ASTM E1444/E1444M or NAS-410 standards.
  • Additional NDT certifications is a plus
  • Knowledge of GD&T and manual inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
