About Us:

SWD Inc. opened for business in March 1980 with three employees in a 9,000 sq. ft. leased facility and began black oxiding, cleaning, and pickling operations with used equipment. In late 1980, the company began passivating stainless steel and in 1981 purchased Fastener Sorting Corporation. Today, a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, SWD Inc. has over 250 employees and runs three shifts per day in its 250,000 sq. ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois.

Note: SWD is a Drug-Free workplace. All job offers are contingent on successful completion of a Background Check, Drug Screen, and Pre-Employment Physical.

What We're Seeking:

We are seeking a full-time entry-level Dip Spin Machine Operator for 2nd Shift (Hours: 3pm-11pm). This full-time role must also be able to work Monday-Saturday! The starting pay is $18.75 per hour. New employees will receive performance evaluations and potential raises at 60 Days, 6 Months, and 12 Months, then annually each year after that. 
Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Assist foreman with delegated duties
  • Load jobs into the barrels as required
  • Assist in loading and unloading of metal parts
  • Review of shop orders
  • Drive a lift truck
  • Knowledge of proper safety policies and procedures
  • Assist maintenance department technician in troubleshooting line problems

Qualifications:

  • This is an Entry Level Machine Operator position(training provided!)
  • GED or High School Diploma (preferred not required)
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • You must be available to work weekends
