Role Overview :
First (entry) level of CNC machining center operator. Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read basic blueprint specifications. Operates CNC machines to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided.
Work Environment : On-site
Key Responsibilities :
• Possess and applies basic knowledge of operations including boring and milling.
• Performs checks using variety of gauges and fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Use common hand tools in the production and finishing of machined parts.
• Maintains required levels of production.
• Ensure quality parts while minimizing scrap and rework through proper in-process inspection.
• Perform basic pre-staged machine set-ups under direct supervision.
• Recognize tooling wear problems.
• Follows proper operating procedures and maintains proper records in accordance with plant management system.
• Keeps work area clean and organized to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Follows all safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE.
• Demonstrates positive relations and teamwork as established in the IMI Way.
• Other duties as assigned.
Critical Competencies for Success:
• Basic math skills
• Basic understanding of measurements
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• A knowledge of basic computer skills
Pay range:$21-24hr
Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
