Job description

Loader Operator

We are hiring Loader Operators for a manufacturing facility in Gurnee, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to gain warehouse or production experience, as well as reliable individuals seeking stable, long-term employment.

This is not a fast-paced warehouse role. The work environment is steady and detail-focused. You will oversee machinery, monitor production quality, and support machine operations. Portions of the job may be performed while seated. Candidates must be able to remain alert and focused during 12-hour overnight shifts.

Location: Gurnee, IL Shift: Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:15 AM | 12-Hour Rotating Schedule Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience) Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Essential Job Duties
  • Catch folded literature from the delivery end of folder machines
  • Replace defective pieces and maintain accurate tray counts
  • Perform routine inspections using an attribute checklist
  • Verify batch counts and follow safety procedures
  • Load flat literature onto folder machines
  • Conduct periodic inspections of materials
  • Ensure materials meet quality and production standards
  • Start and stop machines as needed
  • Assist in maintaining smooth machine operation
  • Perform basic troubleshooting (including glue system issues)
  • Identify and address paper-related concerns (such as curling)
  • Assist with changeovers and basic preventive maintenance
  • Read and interpret job tickets and specifications
  • Record required quality checks accurately and timely
  • Label, palletize, and weigh sample trays according to guidelines
