Overview
We're looking for a hands-on CNC Machining Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-precision environment and takes pride in producing quality work. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with advanced machining equipment, and want to grow your career-this is where you do it.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machining centers, including turning, grinding, and heat-treating equipment
- Work with Fanuc-controlled machines (Mori turning centers) and other advanced machining systems
- Perform basic to intermediate machine setups, including tooling adjustments and offsets
- Inspect parts using precision measurement tools and document results per process sheets
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and SOPs
- Troubleshoot minor machining issues and escalate as needed
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency efforts on the shop floor
- Train and support entry-level operators as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement intitiatives
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation (5S standards)
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, is required.
Technical Competencies
- Experience operating CNC machines (turning, grinding, or similiar)
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and machining cells
- Ability to perform machine setups and adjustments
- Understanding of basic hydraulic principles (preferred)
- Understanding of blueprints, tolerances, and precision measurement devices
- Exposure to CMM, tool setters, or automated machining environments is preferred
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, measurement conversion)
Mechanical Aptitude
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Ability to identify issues and make logical mechanical adjustments
- Hands-on troubleshooting mindset

Physical Competencies
- Frequent lifting up to 45 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Continuous standing (8-10 hours)
- Manual dexterity for small part manipulation
- Repetitive upper extremity movement
- Bilateral hand coordination required
- Operation of manual, pneumatic, & electric tools requiring trigger activation & steady hand control
- Carrying & positioning parts at waist & chest level
- Pushing and pulling carts or bins of materials
- Frequent walking within production area
- Frequent reaching (forward & overhead)
- Bending, stooping. And twisting at the waist
- Squatting or kneeling as required to access lower areas
- Stretching & extended arm positioning during assembly tasks
- Maintaining balance while handling materials and operating equipment
- Visual acuity sufficient to read work instructions & assembly drawings, inspect components for defects and identify measuring markings on precisions tools.
- Depth perception & peripheral vision sufficient to safely operate tools & equipment
- Hearing ability sufficient to detect machine sounds indicating malfunction and hear alarms, safety signals and verbal instructions in a production environment.
- Exposure to typical manufacturing environment including: mechanical equipment, moving parts, noise levels requiring hearing protection
- Required use of PPE including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves and hearing protection
- Work performed in a temperature controlled but industrial setting
