JOB DESCRIPTION Machine Operator/Technician

Summary/Objective

Entry Level Technicians/ Machine Operators are hired as members of a high-performance work team. Technician are capable of operating several operational systems (several pieces of equipment) that are part of an entire manufacturing, process or warehousing system.

Essential Functions
The essential functions of this position include but may not be limited to those listed below. Sunny Delight Beverage retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time.

  1. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required.
  2. Comply with Sunny Delight Beverage’s policies and procedures.
  3. Capable of performing routine operations with minimum supervision.
  4. Responsible for operating production lines, keeping production flowing and meeting performance goals.
  5. Responsible for maintaining a high level of quality that consumers expect from our products. Visually checks to assure that we are at quality code consistently.
  6. Responsible for operating basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, etc.
  7. Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on equipment. Make minor equipment adjustments and changeovers or setups.
  8. Technicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations, demonstrate ownership, confront business-related problems and continuously improve the equipment and processes.
  9. Performs basic cleaning, inspection and lubrication of the equipment they operate.
  10. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned (Subject to Change)

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Strong technical, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  3. 3 or more years of machine operating experience
  4. Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends.
  5. Basic computer knowledge
  6. Forklift Exp. Preferred
  7. Must be able to work a 12-hour day or night shift
