Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% and is open to any Compeer office location inIllinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The contributions you will make: This position partners with Lending Officers, Partner Lenders, Underwriters, Document Administratorsand Closers to facilitate the origination of Consumer purpose Real Estate loans from application throughclosing. This role plays an extremely important part of the overall client experience along with the longtermsuccess of the Compeer Home department.

A typical day:

Loan Processing

  • Audits loan applications for accuracy and completeness to ensure allrequired information is filled out, and the appropriate supportingdocumentation required to make a credit decision is included.
  • Initiates the ordering of; initial loan estimates, homeowner'sinsurance (if applicable), appraisals, titles, flood certifications, etc.
  • Proofs and reviews information from third party sources, LendingOfficers and clients, needed to efficiently and consistently closeloans on time.
  • Communicates with Lending Officer and clients to obtain missingdocuments and information.
  • Prepares loan file for initial/final underwriting review and for deliveryto the closing department.

Loan Support

  • Responds to client inquiries via phone or email regarding loan inprocess, guidelines and general processing questions.
  • Uses Compeer systems (Encompass, Blend, Salesforce,SharePoint, etc.) and workflows to accurately enter, review andcorrect data that has been entered into the system for each loan filefrom application to closing.
  • Collaborates with Lending Officer to accurately execute andcomplete change requests. Updates documentation with third partyinformation such as: additional inspections; appraisal fee changesand title fees.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes work in order to effectively and efficientlysupport the consumer lending team. Works on special projects asneeded.
  • Consistently provides feedback to leadership to continually improvecurrent processes.

The skills and experience we prefer you have:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Entry-level experience in a loan processing/support role.
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan process and related regulatory requirements.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levelsof the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management(CRM) programs.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and representthe business.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

$47,100—$66,600 USD
