We're looking for hungry, passionate, and enthusiastic individuals to join us as Temporary Part-Time Livestream Hosts in our fast-paced, dynamic live commerce team! All hosts must be able to be onsite in our Long Island City office. Breaking cards is a huge part of the role, and we're excited to bring people on board who are eager to dive into the action. Whether you're passionate about cards and comics or have experience in breaks and collectibles, please help us bring VeeFriends products to life in a fun and engaging way! As a host, you'll be at the center of VeeFriends live broadcasts, engaging with our audience, providing entertainment, driving sales, and learning how to master multiple live streaming platforms like Whatnot, TikTok Live, eBay Live, and Fanatics Live. You'll also need to be an Adaptable Alien and learn new software as we expand our live-streaming initiatives. 

Note: While this is a part-time role, estimated at 20 hours weekly, there's an expectation that up to 40 hours may be required in the first 1-2 weeks of employment for training and onboarding
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up products, check video/audio, and ensure everything is ready for a seamless broadcast. Then, "Break" collectible cards and mystery items on screen for a high-anticipation audience.
  • Bringing intense energy and charisma to the audience while presenting and explaining collectibles is paramount. Experience with "breaking" is not required - but a significant plus.
  • Interact with viewers in real time while simultaneously presenting and promoting VeeFriends products and educating the audience about VeeFriend's wider mission, core values, characters, and more.
  • Receive initial and ongoing training and education about VeeFriends characters, category lines, and products to properly position and describe our brand and collectible products to a newly initiated audience.
  • Apply existing knowledge and expertise of various Collectibles categories (including Comics, Sports & Trading Cards, TCG, and more) as a strong reference point for appropriately positioning VeeFriend's brand and product lines.
  • Utilize platform best practices and opportunities (e.g., Whatnot, TikTok Live, eBay Live, and Fanatics Live) to appropriately engage and sell to consumers based on the platform's nuances.
  • Focus on driving sales and engagement metrics by leveraging learnings from prior live stream content and hosting highly engaging and compelling live streams.
  • Develop post-show reporting for the wider VeeFriends team comprising key takeaways, audience feedback, and insights & opportunities to improve future streams.
  • Serve as the face and talent supporting the LiveCommerce show conceived and developed by VeeFriends - which includes using and producing images, videos, thumbnails, and more, using your personal likeness.
  • Partner cross-functionally with VeeFriends Marketing, Social, and PR teams to create promotional content, helping market VeeFriends shows.

  • You're enthusiastic about both the VeeFriends brand and LiveCommerce as a channel opportunity. You passionately explore everything from brand content and character development to new product "drops" and the nuances of the live commerce platform.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and can quickly learn new tools and technologies.
  • A proven passion and expertise in collectibles - including Comics, TCGs, Apparel, Sports Memorabilia, & Cards. You're eager to share your excitement for exclusive, limited-edition products and drops with our vibrant community. Experience as a creators, live streamers and card breaker is not required but a big plus.
  • Passionate and curious about attracting and developing audience & viewership growth and engagement. A mutual respect and understanding for storytelling and engagement and sales and scale.
  • Entertainment and community engagement are instrumental for sustainable revenue growth.
  • You have unmatched energy to naturally draw people in and keep them entertained throughout a live-stream show, retaining a high tempo and engaged audience., which naturally draws.
  • You're excited to work with special guests and co-hosts, refine your craft, and contribute to making every show successful.
$30 - $45 an hour
Occasionally, we may need extended hours (e.g., we've done a 25-hour live stream before!), but this is rare and will be discussed in advance. 

Lastly, there are potential growth opportunities, and based on performance, there may be a chance to transition into a full-time role with comprehensive benefits.
