Job description

Job Summary
The Live Events Technician will assist the Live Events Media Producer at setting up equipment, running audio/video/lighting equipment, and tearing equipment down for the various live events hosted and produced by the seminary. These include events for Admissions, Advancement, Student Groups, and weekly chapels. This person will be tasked with running presentation software, running audio mixing boards, operating lighting equipment, using wireless mics, and interacting with various departments to ensure a smooth and functional event whether on or off campus. Being present for chapels is expected for this position.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Run audio mixing boards (Yamaha), lighting boards (Vista), presentation software (ProPresenter)
  • Setup audio/video equipment in campus spaces.
  • Be able to troubleshoot computer/technical problems
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Meticulous attention to details

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Irregular hours sometimes required to setup/teardown for events (i.e. early mornings or evenings, some weekends)
