Job description

Eagle Seven is seeking a TechnologyOperations Engineer. Our Operations Team is at the intersection of trading, development, and systems administration and plays an integral part of our firm’s success. The team manages the deployments, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting for multiple trading strategies. We are seeking an individual to help us solve complex problems and improve our processes and tools. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong sense of ownership who can anticipate challenges. Must be open to working a rotating schedule between US and Asia shifts.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the trading system and working to identify and resolve issues
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex problems to keep trading online
  • Working with the risk team and trading desks to understand and facilitate trading requirements
  • Managing daily changes and communicating statuses to the company
  • Automating software distribution and deployments for Linux and Windows applications to speed up our application deployments
  • Building new tools to manage our system and reduce effort and errors

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting, administering, or developing on Linux-based environments
  • Strong proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Working knowledge of basic scripting experience, preferably with Python
  • Experience using distributed version control systems
  • Understanding of configuration management tools such as Salt, Puppet, or Chef
  • Exposure to infrastructure and application monitoring tools, including Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experience working with JIRA or similar ticketing and workflow management systems
  • Knowledge of log aggregation, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset

The minimum base salary for this role starts at $75,000. This role is eligible for a discretionary performance bonus as part of the total compensation package, in addition to the benefits listed above.
