The Insurance Claims Specialist will be responsible for servicing auto loan accounts by managing physical damage and total loss claims. Auto Insurance Claims experience is required. Candidates must have hands-on experience handling auto insurance claims.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local laws/regulations.
  • Process and file physical damage, total loss, and GAP claims with insurance agencies and other third party administrators.
  • Issue Letters of Guarantee for assets declared as a total loss.  
  • Negotiate claim resolutions with insurance agencies and/or third party administrators to maximize recovery and minimize losses to the company.
  • Analyze data used in settling claims to ensure that claims are valid and that settlements are made according to company policies and procedures.
  • Obtain repair estimates, and/or total loss or diminished values.
  • Accurately and professionally document account information and collection activities.
  • Consult with the legal department on claims requiring litigation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • 3+ year(s) of insurance claims experience, preferably in the subprime consumer lending industry.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills with the ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state and local collections regulations.
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour + Bonus
