An entry-level legal secretary works in the office of a law firm. You carry out administrative or clerical duties, often under the supervision of an experienced legal secretary. Your responsibilities include organizing legal documents, preparing any necessary paperwork, answering telephone calls and emails, sorting and delivering office mail, and managing payment accounts. In some cases, a legal secretary also performs light research to help attorneys prepare for trials. These positions are usually available during regular business hours but may involve some weekend office work depending on the caseload of the firm.
