CGS is seeking a Clerical Administrative Assistant to join our team supporting the legal mission of a large federal agency in New Orleans, LA. This position will allow candidates to demonstrate expertise in providing administrative support tasks such as entering information into databases, greeting visitors, opening new cases, generating reports, and assisting collection agents with other administrative duties as needed.

Job Duties: 
Provide support to various office personnel in the MPRU.
Entering information into various databases.
Opening cases, including establishing new debts in CDCS, the FLU collection database.
Close expired or fully paid debts
Generate routine reports through Analytics, the FLU reporting database, such as Weekly and Monthly
Collection Reports, Statistical Reports, Tickle/Task Reports, and Indirect Payment Reports.
Generate routine documents, including, but not limited to:
- Demand Letters,
- Letters requesting Financial Statements and Proposed Re-Payment Agreements,
- Default Letters
Assist and support Collection Agents, Paralegal Specialists, and Supervisory Paralegal Specialist in the
collection of debts in criminal cases, including restitution and fines, and civil cases
Assist Collection Agents, Paralegal Specialists, and Supervisory Paralegal Specialist with asset
investigations and enforcement in appropriate cases to recover restitution owed to crime victims and
agencies by running various reports and assisting with research
Provide routine administrative duties to assist and support Collection Agents, Paralegal Specialists, and
Supervisory Paralegal Specialist, as needed.
 
Job Requirements:
Computer Skills: Applicant shall have the ability to use MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access,
and other databases as well as Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Communication skills are extremely important. Applicants shall work and interact professionally and
effectively with all levels of staff.
Ability to meet established deadlines and work as a team player in a professional office.
Skill in meeting and dealing with people in a courteous and tactful manner.
Ability to review a wide variety of documents, both legal and non-legal, including Motions and Briefs.
Must be a United States Citizen and eligible for a security clearance.
