What Does a Groundskeeper Do?
Groundskeepers play an important role in keeping our apartment communities clean, attractive, and welcoming for residents, prospective residents, and visitors. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in maintaining the appearance of the community and enjoys staying active throughout the workday.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of community grounds and common areas
  • Picking up litter and debris throughout the property
  • Keeping sidewalks, parking areas, breezeways, and other exterior areas clean
  • Assisting with basic landscaping and grounds maintenance
  • Maintaining pool and recreational areas
  • Cleaning and preparing common areas for residents and prospective residents
  • Assisting the maintenance team with projects and apartment turns as needed
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
  • Helping ensure the community remains clean, attractive, and well-maintained
  • Performing physically active work outdoors in varying weather conditions
