Job Description

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM


The Global Genotyping group is seeking a Research Contractor to join the Johnston Sampling Team.

The Sampling Team leads the upfront sample submission and processing for all projects moving through the genotyping pipeline. This role requires close collaboration with internal and external partners while demonstrating strong ownership, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure all materials required for sampling are prepared accurately, safely, and on schedule.
  • Assist with cleaning, handling, packaging, and storing seeds and biological samples.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Operate proprietary laboratory equipment and follow established procedures.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support the implementation of solutions.
  • Follow and promote Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times.
  • Prioritize workload effectively and manage time to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks associated with sample processing.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
