Position Overview
The Materials Management Associate I supports basic materials handling, inventory control, shipping/receiving and restocking activities. This entry-level role works under close supervision and follows clearly defined procedures to ensure timely and accurate material flow in support of laboratory, production, and operational needs.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials in designated locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
  • Operate equipment essential to job duties, including forklifts, electric jacks, cherry pickers, and other machinery specific to the site.
  • Place goods in designated storage areas and restock lab supplies as needed.
  • Fulfill internal material requests and deliver materials to appropriate locations.
  • Support basic inventory transactions and data entry in SAP/EWM.
  • Assist with packaging and preparing outbound shipments, including compliance with DOT and IATA hazardous materials regulations.
  • Accurately document receipt, storage, and shipment records.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety requirements.
  • Escalate inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or other issues per escalation protocols.
  • Engage in cross-training and continuous skill development.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED and 1 year of relevant experience; or associate degree in logistics, business, or related field.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in country where work will be performed on a full or part-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in warehouse or material handling role.
  • Exposure to SAP, EWM, or other ERP systems.
  • Experience in GMP or biotech environment.

Salary Range:
$36,000.00 - $57,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
