We're searching for a motivated entry-level Lab Analyst to support our second shift Organics team in Reading, PA.
In this role, you'll be actively engaged in daily laboratory operations, supporting critical testing through sample preparation and accurate documentation within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You'll work hands-on with laboratory instrumentation, contribute to quality and compliance initiatives, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organized laboratory environment. This position offers the opportunity to strengthen technical expertise, collaborate with an experienced team, and directly contribute to reliable, high-quality results that support essential laboratory operations.
Please note: This position follows a 2nd shift schedule Monday - Friday from 2 PM - 10:30 PM EST with a monthly Sunday rotation.
What You'll Do
  • Perform sample preparation of environmental samples following established laboratory methods and procedures
  • Accurately enter, review, and maintain sample preparation data within LIMS
  • Perform routine quality control activities associated with sample preparation processes
  • Follow SOPs, QA/QC standards, safety protocols, and chain-of-custody procedures
  • Support laboratory workflow, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with laboratory team members to meet sample throughput and turnaround time objectives
  • Assist with housekeeping, glassware cleaning, and inventory management activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Proven hands-on laboratory experience gained through employment, internships, research projects, or academic coursework
  • Previous professional experience working in fast-paced, high-throughput environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Work Schedule & Travel
  • Full-time, onsite position following 2nd shift schedule Monday - Friday from 2 PM to 10:30 PM EST
  • Ability to temporarily work 1st shift schedule (8 AM- 4:30 PM EST) for first 90 day training period prior to transitioning to 2nd shift schedule
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard hours, including monthly Sunday rotation and holiday rotation
