Job description

Position Purpose

To support Vaughn’s Enhanced AT-CTI program by offering simulator instruction and assisting certified Instructors in the ATC tower simulator Lab.

Major Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

• Completing and storing paperwork as required.

• Working with academic staff of Aviation and Air Traffic departments to assure that proper coursework is completed correctly.

• Working with instructors to program scenarios for ATC200L and ATC240L.

• ATC Sim Lab assistant is not authorized to handle any Enhanced CTI Scenarios.

• Training new staff on use of simulators

• Assist ATC Simulator Instructors as required.

**Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

• Enrolled students in the Enhanced CTI College or Certificate Program Professional Skills

• Ability to assist students in the ATC Lab. Completed ATC200L and ATC240L with a grade of “B” or better.

  • Must have a qualifying score of well or best qualified on the ATSA.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to work with instructors, students, FAA and college administration to meet the standard requirements of Enhanced FAA AT-CTI.

Work environment and physical functions

• This position is located in an laboratory environment. Generally, an employee needs to be able to sit, stand, and navigate within the office area. The Lab equipment either individually used or shared with a department is the responsibility of all employees.

Compensation

The entry level salary for this position is expected to range from $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
