Job description

General Summary:

  • EEG technologist I is an entry level position in the Neurophysiology Department.

  • The tech will maintain patient safety while the patient is being monitored in the EMU (epilepsy monitoring unit) or while undergoing an 8 hour VEEG.

  • The tech is responsible for ensuring electrode integrity, visually watching and tracking (via camera) epilepsy patients (2-8 patients) via monitors.

Willing to travel to various site:

  • Grosse Pointe Farms

  • West Bloomfield

  • Taylor

  • Troy

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.

  • Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited Electrodiagnostic (END) program, is preferred

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current BLS certification.
