The Associate Automation Engineer is an entry-level role designed to grow the next generation of automation engineering talent. You'll work alongside senior engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy automated manufacturing cells — gaining hands-on experience across controls, robotics, software, and system integration, with increasing ownership as you develop.
What You'll Do
- Support senior Automation Engineers in the development, build, and commissioning of automated manufacturing cells.
- Assist with system integration, assembly support, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of automation equipment.
- Participate in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems, robotics, and automation software.
- Contribute to programming and debugging across PLCs, robots, and higher-level software systems.
- Help develop and modify HMIs, control logic, and feedback/control systems.
- Support robotics integration, including setup, testing, and optimization of robotic cells.
- Use CAD/CAM tools to support mechanical layouts, cell design concepts, and documentation.
- Take part in commissioning and deployment activities at manufacturing sites, with occasional travel required.
- Learn and apply engineering best practices, safety standards, and structured development methodologies under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to automation performance, reliability, and standardization.
