AEM Developer II

Location: Tire Rack - South Bend, IN (On-Site Preferred) Hybrid/ Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000

Tire Rack is looking for an AEM Developer II to join our growing technology team in South Bend, Indiana. In this role, you will develop and maintain components within our Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform while helping ensure our digital experiences remain secure, scalable, and high-performing.

This position is ideal for a developer who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, collaborating across teams, and contributing to the continued development and optimization of our web platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain reusable components for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) following current Adobe best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AEM functionality and site performance
  • Collaborate with system administration teams on deployment processes, optimization efforts, and system upgrades
  • Provide guidance on best practices and future direction for AEM usage within the organization
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for AEM issues experienced by authors and quality assurance teams
  • Support and manage AEM integrations with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target
  • Ensure development aligns with best practices around security, accessibility, SEO, and user experience
  • Maintain and update technical documentation related to AEM components and processes
  • Collaborate with teammates and department managers to review work, gather feedback, and improve development practices
  • Update project management software daily with status updates and percent completion on active tasks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a developer who combines strong technical capability with attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience developing components for Adobe Experience Manager
  • 2+ years of professional experience with HTML Template Language (HTL), responsive HTML, and CSS
  • Familiarity with:
    • Java
    • Java Content Repository (JCR)
    • Apache Sling
    • OSGi bundles
    • JavaScript and ReactJS
  • Experience working with GitHub or similar version control systems
  • Strong understanding of web security, accessibility standards, SEO, user experience, and analytics
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to clear documentation
  • Ability to follow and interpret technical documentation and written instructions
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and efficient in managing assigned tasks
  • Professional, collaborative, and tactful communication style

Preferred

  • Adobe Experience Manager Developer Certification, or ability to obtain certification within six months

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Schedule

Work Days
Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be required.

Work Hours
Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. EST - 5:00 p.m. EST. Additional hours may be necessary based on project needs. Some local travel may be required.
