Job description

Currently hiring in the Gaithersburg, MD area for a Linux C++/Java SoftwareSoftware Engineer to support a large scale software development program using Linux. Applicants must be permanent residents or U.S. Citizens in order to be considered for employment. HB1 Visa submissions will not be accepted.

Applicants also must be able to obtain a favorable federal suitability adjudication, as all positions on the program require a Public Trust clearance.

At a minimum, the Software Engineer must have the following skill/experience level:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or engineering discipline
  • Over 2 years of software development, integration and configuration experience with C++, Java, or Python
  • Experience in full-life cycle software applications development using an agile and waterfall methodology, to include engineering, development, test and integration.
  • Strong LINUX environment skills including command line and scripting tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Atlassian toolset: Jira, git, Crucible Confluence and Bamboo
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8
  • Ansible
  • Virtualization - vSphere
  • Scripting - Bash/Shell, Python
