Position Summary
The Art Director is an entry-level creative professional responsible for supporting the development and execution of visual communications that promote the organization's healthcare services, brand, mission, and patient-focused initiatives across our network of clinics. This role collaborates with marketing, communications, operations, human resources, and clinical teams to create engaging digital and print materials that enhance brand awareness, patient engagement, employee communications, and community outreach efforts.
The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to grow their design skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and produce marketing and communication materials, including:
  • Flyers and brochures
  • Posters and signage
  • Social media graphics
  • Email marketing assets
  • Presentation templates
  • Recruitment materials
  • Event and community outreach materials
  • Internal communications graphics
  • Assist in maintaining and enforcing organizational brand standards across all visual assets.
  • Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and operational teams to understand project objectives and develop creative solutions.
  • Prepare production-ready files for print and digital distribution.
  • Edit and resize existing creative assets for multiple platforms and audiences.
  • Support website and digital marketing initiatives through the creation of graphics, banners, and visual content.
  • Assist with photography selection, photo editing, and image organization.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for marketing campaigns, patient education initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
  • Maintain organized archives of design files, templates, and creative assets.
  • Ensure all designs align with healthcare industry standards, accessibility best practices, and organizational messaging.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field required.

Experience
  • 0-2 years of graphic design experience.
  • Internship, freelance, academic, or portfolio experience may be considered in lieu of professional experience.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including:
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Word.
  • Understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and branding principles.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Competency working with brand guidelines and design systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing for healthcare, nonprofit, or service-based organizations.
  • Knowledge of Canva, Figma, or other design platforms.
  • Basic photography and video editing skills.
  • Understanding of website design principles and user experience concepts.
