Job description

Are you ready to be the backbone of a modern, high-performing organization, keeping systems reliable, users productive, assets managed, and data flowing securely?

At Naviant, our mission is to partner with organizations to reimagine how work gets done, combining deep industry expertise, intelligent technology, and a human-centered approach to deliver measurable outcomes. Our vision is simple yet ambitious: Reimagine work through automation, AI, and data, freeing people to focus on what truly matters.

We’re seeking a hands-on IT System Administrator who thrives in a fast-moving IT environment and takes pride in owning both systems and outcomes. This entry-level role encompasses core IT administration and end-user support, ensuring the effective operation of enterprise applications, endpoint devices, identity systems, and related IT services throughout the organization. Given the hands-on nature of managing company-issued equipment, this role requires proximity to our corporate office in Verona, WI, with an expectation of reporting to the office at least one day per week to physically manage IT assets. This role also involves a rotating on-call schedule, with on-call responsibilities approximately one week per month. This is a highly visible role that requires strong technical judgment, excellent service orientation, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. While this role owns day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of internal systems, it operates within a broader support ecosystem that includes IT leadership, external partners, and specialized vendors for security and infrastructure.

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Naviant’s IT environment, including devices, identity systems, SaaS applications, security controls, and support processes.

  • Learn existing IT asset management processes, including provisioning, decommissioning, and inventory practices.

  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders by delivering responsive, reliable end-user support.

  • Review existing documentation, configurations, and open issues to identify risks, gaps, and quick-win improvements.

  • Establish credibility through clear communication, follow-through, and a high standard of operational excellence.

Taking Ownership
  • Independently manage day-to-day IT operations, including user onboarding/offboarding, device management, access control, and SaaS administration.

  • Take ownership of on-site equipment workflows, including receiving and inspecting new devices, provisioning, wiping and decommissioning retired equipment, and restoring devices for reissue.

  • Improve system reliability and user experience by identifying recurring issues and implementing preventative solutions.

  • Enhance documentation, standard operating procedures, and internal knowledge resources.

  • Partner effectively with business teams to understand needs and translate them into scalable, secure technical solutions..

At 90 Days and Beyond: Driving Impact
  • Fully own the health, reliability, and usability of Naviant’s internal IT systems, partnering with IT leadership and external providers, as appropriate, to ensure scalability, security, and operational resilience.

  • Independently manage the full lifecycle of physical IT assets while maintaining accurate inventory and asset records to ensure equipment status and location are tracked consistently across systems.

  • Serve as a trusted internal advisor, balancing user needs, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve automation, and reduce manual effort across systems.

  • Maintain strong system hygiene, access controls, and data integrity, supporting auditability and organizational trust.

  • Contribute to longer-term IT strategy and continuous improvement initiatives, bringing a thoughtful, solution-oriented perspective.

Competencies – Key Skills & Experience We're Looking ForIT Systems Administration & Operations

Proven experience supporting end users in a modern SaaS-based IT environment. Strong hands-on skills in device management, identity and access management, troubleshooting, and systems administration. Comfortable operating as a generalist who can move seamlessly between support, configuration, and improvement work while maintaining high reliability and accountability.

IT Asset Management

Hands-on experience managing the physical lifecycle of company laptops, including receiving, provisioning, wiping, decommissioning, restoring, and inventory tracking. Comfortable working on-site as needed to take physical possession of equipment and maintain accurate asset records.

Solid understanding of access controls, least-privilege principles, and basic security best practices across devices, SaaS platforms, and identity systems. Able to make sound decisions that balance usability with organizational risk and compliance needs.
