  • Transport equipment between our office and client locations
  • Maintain accurate equipment and inventory records
  • Document completed work and report any issues that require escalation

  • Ability to safely lift and transport computers, monitors, and related equipment
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to client locations around Oahu
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and study outside of hands-on assignments when necessary

Previous IT experience is helpful but not required. However, we want to understand about your interest in I.T.

Relevant qualifications that may support a higher starting rate include:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
  • A technical certificate or degree in information technology
  • Previous help desk, field service, computer repair, or technical support experience
  • Experience setting up computers, printers, networks, or Microsoft 365 accounts

Where this can lead

The goal of this position is to help a motivated Field Technician develop the technical, customer service, troubleshooting, and documentation skills needed to become a full-time Service Desk Technician.

A strong employee may be considered for advancement over the course of approximately one year.

Advancement is not guaranteed and will depend on job performance, attendance, technical development, certification progress, available positions, and the needs of the company.

Employees interested in advancement will have opportunities to:

  • Work alongside experienced service desk and field technicians
  • Gain exposure to Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, cybersecurity, and managed IT services
  • Prepare for industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+
  • Take on increasingly advanced support assignments
  • Be considered for future full-time Service Desk Technician openings

Compensation and development

  • Starting pay of $16–$20 per hour, based on experience, education, and certifications
  • Certification and training support
  • Opportunities for increased responsibility and pay as skills develop
  • Gas and vehicle-use reimbursement for approved client travel
  • Monthly cell phone allowance when applicable
  • Potential pathway to a full-time Service Desk Technician position

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift, carry, move, and position computers, monitors, printers, battery backups, and other equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
