Job description

Core Job Duties and Responsibilities

 Financial Data Processing: Compute, classify, and record numerical data to maintain accurate financial records. Responsibilities include processing customer payments, generating invoices, and applying payments to open account balances.

 Reconciliation and Discrepancy Resolution: Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies in payments and invoices. This involves collaborating with customers and internal departments, such as sales or credit, to resolve issues such as pricing errors or short pays.

• Collections Support: Assist with collection activities for past-due accounts, which include contacting customers via phone or email and thoroughly documenting all communication and resolution efforts.


Quality Assurance (QA) Integration:
• Data Quality: Conduct data quality assurance tasks within AR processes, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
 Product Quality (potential): Depending on the facility, may perform some duties related to inspecting incoming or stored perishable products to ensure they meet acceptable standards, communicate quality issues to buyers, and monitor reports for accurate accounting of spoilage or damage.
• Reporting and Documentation: Generate AR reports (such as aging and collection status), maintain organized records for invoices, payments, and correspondence, and support internal and external audits as needed.


Key Skills and Qualifications
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrated a high level of accuracy in processing financial information.
 Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities: Ability to identify root causes of issues, analyze financial data, and propose effective solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting/ERP systems (such as Workday) is highly preferred.
• 10-Key Data Entry: Proficiency with 10-key data entry is required for accurate and efficient financial processing.
