Job description

Virginia Pediatric Group is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant with IT Support responsibilities to join our team.

The position will coordinate, facilitate, and organize administrative activities related to the day-to-day operations and logistics of the practice, while also providing some IT support, including troubleshooting technical issues, setting up equipment, installing software, and providing guidance to users.

Specific duties will include the following:


Administrative Functions:

  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Manage the intake process, including forms, consent documentation, and insurance verification
  • Assist with office management tasks, including inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
  • Place purchase orders for office supplies, including IT equipment
  • Handle outgoing mail, collect, and distribute incoming mails.


IT Support:

  • Perform the installation, maintenance, upgrade, and repairs of computer and network equipment.
  • Install and upgrade Electronic Health Record Software, Practice Management Software, standard word processing, spread sheet, desktop publishing, and Internet software packages as requested.
  • Perform regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking problems as they occur.
  • Provide guidance and assist users with connecting to network resources.


Qualification Required:

  • Education: High school diploma with Comptia A+ Certification
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a help desk or network environment including troubleshooting, Microsoft Windows 10/11.
  • Experience troubleshooting healthcare systems (EMR/HER/PM software)
  •   Detailed-oriented, well organized, people-oriented, and reliable
  • Must be able to occasionally travel between 4 offices (Fairfax, Herndon, Great Falls and Aldie)

Office Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
