IT Support Specialist (Tier 2/3)

Our client is seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist to join their team for an exciting six-month contract opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical issues, supporting end users in a fast-paced operational environment, and making an immediate impact. You'll play a key role in supporting a major site expansion project while helping maintain reliable IT operations across the organization. Compensation: This job is expected to pay $35-45 per hour W2

What You'll Do:


  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support across desktop, hardware, software, network, and application environments while serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Support Windows workstations, industrial PCs, Active Directory, user accounts, endpoint management, hardware deployments, imaging, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Assist with a major business migration project by onboarding approximately 50 pre-imaged systems and supporting end users during a critical October go-live.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, perform root cause analysis, resolve recurring technical issues, and contribute to IT projects, upgrades, documentation, and continuous process improvements.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while collaborating with end users, engineers, vendors, and IT teams in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

What Gets You the Job:


  • 5+ years of Tier 2/3 IT support experience supporting Windows environments, end users, hardware, software, Active Directory, and networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently diagnose issues, work toward resolution, and know when to escalate appropriately.
  • Experience supporting desktop deployments, imaging, endpoint management, patching, hardware lifecycle management, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to remain calm and professional during high-priority incidents.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working onsite while supporting both routine support requests and more advanced technical issues.

Pluses (Not Required):


  • Experience supporting warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with warehouse technologies including WMS applications, RF scanners, handheld devices, barcode scanners, industrial printers, or warehouse automation systems.
  • Experience with Ivanti, Help Spot, SOTI, or similar ITSM/MDM platforms.
  • Exposure to supporting warehouse automation systems such as conveyors, PLCs, or sortation equipment alongside engineering teams.
