Position Overview: The Irrigation Installation Technician is an entry-level role responsible for installing and revamping irrigation systems based on designs and plans provided by our senior technicians. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and advance their careers in the irrigation industry. The role involves hands-on experience in system installation and upgrades with significant opportunities for professional development. The ideal candidate is ambitious with a โ€˜can-doโ€™ attitude and a strong desire to contribute to the success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Revamp:

  • Assist with the installation of new irrigation systems, following company standards, specifications and local codes.
  • Support the revamping of existing irrigation systems, retrofitting existing irrigation systems with upgraded components.
  • Ensure that all installations and modifications meet quality standards and system requirements.

Technical Skills Development:

  • Learn the fundamentals of irrigation system components, including points of connection, pipes, valves, controllers, sprinkler heads, drip lines, and micro irrigation.
  • Gain hands-on experience with basic troubleshooting and repair tasks under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Follow local, state, and federal regulations related to irrigation system installation and maintenance.
  • Properly maintain and store tools and equipment to ensure safe usage and compliance with company standards.

Customer Interaction:

  • Represent Sunrise Irrigation professionally when interacting with customers during installations and system updates.
  • Learn to effectively communicate basic information about irrigation system operations and maintenance.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Assist in maintaining records of installation work, including service reports and inventory usage.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reports to supervisors on completed tasks and any issues encountered.
  • Utilize company technology and software for documentation, reporting, and communication to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with senior technicians and team members to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
