Salary Range: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00
Job Description
Nexagen Networks is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized Technical Writer / Administrative Assistant to support our Chief Operating Officer (COO) with technical documentation, proposal materials, administrative coordination, and SharePoint content management.
The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), defense industry, federal government, or government contracting environment is highly preferred.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or early-career professional interested in developing experience in technical writing, proposal support, business administration, and government contracting.
Position Responsibilities
Technical Writing & Proposal Support
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and format technical documents, proposals, reports, presentations, and administrative materials.
  • Support the COO and proposal team with document preparation, research, content development, and proposal deadlines.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of government proposal materials, including RFP responses, SOWs, PWSs, and related documentation.
  • Maintain document version control and ensure technical and proposal content is properly organized and accessible.
  • Prepare presentations, briefing materials, meeting materials, and other documentation for leadership and proposal submissions.
  • Conduct research and gather information from internal and external sources to support technical and business documentation.
  • Maintain organized libraries of technical, proposal, and corporate materials.
Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative support to the COO, including scheduling, meeting coordination, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, presentations, action-item trackers, and follow-up documentation.
  • Track deadlines, deliverables, assignments, and follow-up activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain organized electronic records, files, templates, and corporate documentation.
  • Assist with internal communications, reporting, and special projects.
  • Coordinate information and documentation among leadership, recruiting, proposal, and operations teams.
  • Provide general administrative and program support as needed.
SharePoint & Document Management
  • Manage and organize SharePoint libraries, folders, documents, templates, and digital content.
  • Ensure documents are current, properly formatted, accessible, searchable, and organized according to established standards.
  • Support document archiving, retrieval, version control, and records management.
  • Assist with maintaining SharePoint pages and internal knowledge repositories.
  • Help establish and maintain consistent document naming, filing, and organizational practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in technical writing, administrative support, program support, proposal coordination, documentation, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting the DoD, defense industry, federal government, or government contracting environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and document-formatting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and team members.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with government proposals, RFPs, SOWs, PWSs, RFIs, or federal contracting documentation is a plus.
  • Experience with document management, content management, or knowledge management is a plus.Company Benefits
