Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a college graduate Noise & Vibration (NVH) Engineer to join our Vehicle Dynamics & NVH Team at the International Proving Grounds.
This role is hands-on and testing-focused, supporting vehicle development through interior noise, exterior pass-by noise, vibration, buzz/squeak/rattle (BSR), and sound quality evaluations on medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level engineer who wants to work directly with vehicles, instrumentation, and real-world data - not a desk-only simulation role.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Vehicle Dynamics & NVH team, you will:
  • Perform vehicle level NVH testing, including:
    • Interior noise
    • Exterior pass by noise
    • Vibration and BSR evaluations
    • Sound quality assessments
  • Support test planning, setup, and execution on prototype and production vehicles
  • Install and verify instrumentation, including microphones, accelerometers, tachometers, and data acquisition hardware
  • Conduct on road and stationary vehicle tests at the proving grounds
  • Process and analyze test data using NVH measurement and post processing software
  • Document test results in clear engineering reports and support compliance or development decisions
  • Work closely with:
    • NVH engineers
    • Vehicle dynamics and powertrain teams
    • Technicians and program teams
    • Assist with root cause investigations and validation of noise and vibration improvements

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills
  • Strong interest in noise, vibration, and sound quality
  • Willingness to work hands-on with vehicles and instrumentation
  • Ability to work outdoors and in shop / proving-ground environments
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills - both written and verbal
  • Valid driver's license
