Mental Health Practitioner - Weekend Day Shift

Overview

Salary Range $25.11 - $30.13 Hourly Position Type Part Time Job Shift Day

Description

Our team is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to work every other weekend supporting clients in our 24-hour residential treatment unit. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will provide care and support to clients with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorder.

You will work alongside a team of professionals to provide services in the areas of mental health, co-occurring disorders, monitoring medication compliance, and independent living skills. Responsibilities

  • Assess the strengths, and needs of clients upon admission.
  • Assist the clients with independent living skills including shopping, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
  • Monitor and document physical and emotional status.
  • Monitors medication compliance and report any side effects.
  • Facilitate residential program activities, classes and groups
  • Accurately complete treatment plans, shift notes, admission and discharge paperwork, and financial forms.
  • Responds appropriately to all crises and utilize verbal and non-verbal techniques with clients.
Qualifications

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
  • 1 year (2000 hours) experience working with adults with a severe mental illness and/or chemical dependency.
  • Must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner in the state of MN.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

We are one of the few providers in the state, to provide such an integrative and comprehensive care to all children, adults, and families. In order to provide an integrative approach, we offer a wide variety of services including Outpatient Psychotherapy and Substance Use, Inpatient Residential Treatment, Withdrawal Management and Detoxification, Housing, Skills – Based Training and Targeted Case Management for adults and children, and more.

Pay: $25.11 - $30.13 per hour. Compensation is based on years of experience.
