Benedictine Health System is a Catholic, mission-based, non-profit health system headquartered in Minnesota, that provides independent living and complete long-term care services for aging adults, including assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation.
Job Description
St. Gertrude's Health & Rehabilitation Center in
Shakopee, MN seeks an Integrative Health Practitioner. This position will be
responsible for providing integrative health therapies to our residents and
patients including aromatherapy, comfort massage, healing music, healing touch,
reflexology and other whole person cares.
Our facility is a 105 licensed skilled nursing facility and
40 apartments for assisted living. We are on a medical campus that includes a
hospital, medical and specialty clinics. This position provides non-pharmaceutical
cares and a healing environment for our residents and patients. Our Integrative Health Practitioner provides
guidance, training and education to our staff in the various therapies.
Responsibilities
Include:

  • Provide integrative therapies to patients and
    residents
  • Manage supplies and equipment for integrative
    health program
  • Provide education, training and direction to
    direct care staff
  • Document therapies according to facility
    processes
  • Communicate with staff associate team members as
    appropriate in regards to care of resident or patient
  • Part of interdisciplinary teams as needed

Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with elder/senior and post-acute populations
  • Training in aromatherapy, massage, healing touch
    and other modalities leading to certifications
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Understand and sensitive to end of life issues
    and palliative care
  • Ability to build trust and relationship with
    residents, families and staff
