JMT is currently ranked #45 on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 Design Firms.

JMT's Trenton Construction Services Team is seeking to add entry level inspectors to apply standard inspection procedures for in progress and completed construction work for structural quality, general safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes. Working hours will include night shifts.

Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Compensation is $25.00-$35.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret construction drawings, site layouts, specifications and construction methods for compliance with the approved plans and specifications, laws and safety regulations
  • Perform routine tests as needed for concrete, soils and other materials
  • Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement for compliance with contract documents
  • Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations
  • Makes field notes and computations. Tracks delivery tickets and pay items for processing payments
