Thermopac is seeking an entry-level IT Analyst / Programmer I / Support Technician to join our Information Technology team in Stone Mountain, Georgia. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or aspiring IT professional to gain hands-on experience in software development, business systems, data analytics, and technical support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will assist with developing and maintaining business applications, creating reports and dashboards, supporting databases, and providing day-to-day technical support for employees. This role is designed for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and working directly with users to support business operations.

Ideal Candidate: Someone with foundational technical knowledge, strong customer service skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn across programming, reporting, and end-user support.

Assist with developing and maintaining internal business applications.

Learn and apply programming skills using PHP, Python, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and related technologies.

Work with business users to understand requirements and document business processes.

Help troubleshooting and resolve application issues.

Participate in application testing, deployments, and upgrades.

Create and maintain technical and user documentation.

Assist with creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.

Develop SQL queries to retrieve and analyze business data.

Support data validation and help ensure report accuracy.

Help identify opportunities to improve or automate manual processes.

Provide first-line support for employees' hardware and software issues.

Configure and deploy desktop/laptop computers, tablets, scanners/scan guns, printers, and related peripherals.

Assist users with software installation, password resets, and basic troubleshooting.

Set up and support Microsoft 365 applications and devices.

Document support requests and resolutions.

Participate in IT projects and technology rollouts.

Assist senior team members with application, infrastructure, and support initiatives.

Develop knowledge of business processes and manufacturing operations.

Continuously learn new technologies and best practices.

Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.

Basic understanding of SQL databases, HTML, programming concepts, and Windows operating systems.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Exposure to any of these technologies: PHP, Python, Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, JavaScript, or Microsoft 365

Familiarity with manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or business environments.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Position will frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
