Job description

Nishi Enterprise is looking for an energetic and motivated Business Development Associate to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to 2 years of experience who wants to build a career in B2B sales and business development.

You'll work with customers, restaurant operators, manufacturers, and our sales team while gaining hands-on experience in the commercial restaurant equipment and foodservice industry.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome and assist customers visiting our B2B Customer Experience Center and Showroom, understand their needs, and recommend suitable products.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with restaurants, hospitality businesses, dealers, and other foodservice customers.
  • Follow up on website leads, showroom visitors, customer inquiries, and open quotes.
  • Reach out to prospective customers by phone and email and help build new customer relationships.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals with support from the sales team.
  • Learn our commercial restaurant equipment and supply categories and help customers select the right products.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors for pricing, availability, specifications, and lead times.
  • Maintain accurate customer, lead, quote, and follow-up information in our CRM and business systems.
  • Assist with product demonstrations, showroom events, and manufacturer training.
  • Consistently follow up on opportunities to help convert leads and showroom visits into sales.

What We're Looking For

  • Recent graduate or 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, retail, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident interacting with customers in person, by phone, and by email.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple follow-ups.
  • Self-motivated with an interest in B2B sales and business development.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and willing to learn CRM and business software.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Restaurant equipment or foodservice experience is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.

You'll learn our products, build relationships with customers, develop new opportunities, and gradually take ownership of your own sales pipeline and accounts.

We're looking for someone with initiative, curiosity, strong follow-through, and a genuine interest in building a career in sales and business development.


Location & Travel

  • This is an onsite position based in South Plainfield NJ.
  • Some travel required for company meetings, manufacturer events, and industry training.
