Job description

Position Summary:

Park Plaza is seeking a responsible, courteous, and safety-minded Driver to support our resident transportation needs. The driver will operate our community vehicle to transport residents to and from scheduled outings, appointments, and events. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of care, independence, and service for our senior residents.

This position designed to provide consistent coverage during a period of increased transportation demand. A valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments, group outings, shopping trips, and other planned activities

  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and resident-focused demeanor at all times

  • Assist residents on and off the vehicle, ensuring safety and comfort throughout

  • Perform basic vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle

  • Communicate with the front desk and resident services team to confirm routes, pick-ups, and schedule changes

  • Adhere to all driving regulations, internal policies, and safety protocols

  • Report any concerns, incidents, or vehicle maintenance issues promptly

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) – required

  • Clean driving record and minimum 2 years of professional driving experience

  • Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare/residential setting is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact with residents with patience and care

  • Ability to lift or assist with walkers and small mobility devices as needed

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
