Sales Development Representative (SDR) โ€“ Information Security Services (ISS)

Location: (Hybrid) Fairlawn, Ohio

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support Smithers Quality Assessment (SQA) Information Security Services (ISS) team. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings with prospective clients.

As a key contributor at the top of the sales funnel, the SDR will engage in cold calling, email outreach, and social selling to build interest and identify decision-makers. This role works closely with Sales and Marketing teams to drive pipeline growth and connect prospects with ISS sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify potential clients who may benefit from ISS offerings
  • Initiate contact through phone calls, email campaigns, and social networking
  • Conduct introductory outreach and follow up consistently with prospects
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from website, phone, and referrals in a timely manner
  • Schedule meetings between qualified prospects and ISS sales leadership
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions in CRM systems
  • Track and manage daily outreach activity using tools such as Infor CRM and MS Teams Planner
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and lead generation KPIs
  • Coordinate and share relevant prospect information with the ISS sales team
  • Continuously build and manage a high-volume pipeline of potential leads

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from four-year college or technical school (including Sales and/or Marketing concentration, or equivalent experience Cybersecurity education is a plus.
  • Minimum (3) years of sales development and prospecting experience (including a combination of direct sell of services, cold calling and B2B Sales and Marketing tools such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, etc.)
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, Infor CRM, Hubspot CRM, Microsoft Dynamics or similar database tools.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and accurate data entry
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle a high volume of outreach activities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and persistent approach to prospecting
  • Resourceful in leveraging B2B databases, marketing campaigns, and social media for lead generation
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across Sales and Marketing functions

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with the United States Defense Industrial Base supply chain
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and standards, including NIST 800-171 and CMMC
  • Marketing experience in any customer sales campaign techniques
  • Commercial experience in larger scale B2B transactions (excess of $100K 1st-year revenue)
